Marketplace Terms

Version 1.0, effective September 23, 2026

This is a draft. It comes from our own research and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is not legal advice.

These terms apply when an event organizer sells booths, and a vendor buys one, through a RaveRep event page. They add to the RaveRep Terms of Service. If the two disagree about booth sales, these terms win.

  1. 1. Who is selling to whom

The organizer sells the booth. The vendor buys it from the organizer. RaveRep provides the software: the event page, the application form, the roster and the payment link. RaveRep is not the seller, does not run the event, and is not a party to the agreement between the organizer and the vendor. The organizer is responsible for the event, the booth, and any promise made about them.

  2. 2. Applying and paying

A vendor applies. The organizer decides whether to accept. A vendor is only asked to pay after the organizer accepts. If the organizer takes card payments, the payment goes straight to the organizer's own Stripe account. If the organizer has not connected Stripe, the vendor pays the organizer directly, and RaveRep takes no part in that payment.

  3. 3. Fees

RaveRep charges the organizer a platform fee of 1% of each booth payment taken by card through a RaveRep event page. On a $150 booth that is $1.50. Stripe also charges its own card processing fee, which the organizer pays under their agreement with Stripe. Payments the organizer collects outside RaveRep (cash, checks, other apps) carry no RaveRep fee. We will give organizers at least 30 days' notice before changing the fee, and a change never applies to a payment already made.

  4. 4. Refunds

Each organizer sets their own refund policy and must show it on their event before a vendor pays. Refunds are issued by the organizer, from their own Stripe account or by their own means. RaveRep does not issue refunds and cannot force an organizer to issue one.

When an organizer refunds a booth payment taken by card through RaveRep, RaveRep refunds its 1% fee on that payment too. A partial refund returns the same share of the fee.

  5. 5. Cancellations

If an organizer cancels or postpones an event, or removes an accepted vendor, the organizer decides what refund or credit the vendor gets, under their published policy and the law. If a vendor withdraws, the organizer's refund policy applies. A vendor who does not show up is not automatically owed a refund.

  6. 6. Disputes and chargebacks

A disagreement about a booth, an event or a refund is between the vendor and the organizer. Vendors should contact the organizer first. If a vendor disputes a card payment with their bank (a chargeback), the dispute is handled in the organizer's Stripe account and any amount lost, plus Stripe's dispute fee, is the organizer's responsibility under their agreement with Stripe. RaveRep may share the records it holds (application, acceptance, payment dates) with either side to help resolve a dispute.

  7. 7. Stripe

Payment processing services for organizers on RaveRep are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (together, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to take payments as an organizer on RaveRep, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may modify it from time to time. As a condition of RaveRep enabling payment processing through Stripe, you agree to give RaveRep accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize RaveRep to share it and related transaction information with Stripe. Stripe handles personal data under the Stripe Privacy Policy.

  8. 8. Organizer responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for their events, permits, insurance, taxes on booth income, accurate booth descriptions and prices, and keeping their promises to vendors.

  9. 9. Limits on RaveRep's responsibility

RaveRep is not responsible for an event taking place, for the quality of a booth, or for anything an organizer or vendor does or fails to do. RaveRep's total responsibility to anyone relating to a booth sale is limited to the platform fees RaveRep received on that sale.

  10. 10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version with a new date and tell organizers by email at least 30 days before a change that affects fees. A payment is governed by the version in force when it was made.
