How you opt in

RaveRep never adds a phone number to text messaging on its own. Consent is always given by an explicit action, and the consent box is never pre-ticked. There are exactly two ways a number can be opted in, and both are described in full below.

1. You tick the box when you book an appointment

This is the primary opt-in path. When you book an appointment on a RaveRep booking page, you enter your own contact details. An unticked consent checkbox sits directly beneath the phone field, with the full disclosure shown under it. Ticking it is optional, you can complete your booking without it, and you will still get your confirmation by email.

This is exactly what appears on screen, with the box in its default unticked state:

Note for reviewers: the reproduction above shows the checkbox and its wording exactly as an end user sees it, in the default unticked state. Every RaveRep booking page uses this same shared component, so the wording is identical on all of them. You can verify it on a live booking page at raverep.com/bizBooking/raverep?biz=raverep, the checkbox is on step 3 (“Your info”), and the same disclosure plus Privacy Policy and Terms links appear in the footer of every step, including the first screen, so nothing has to be filled in to see them.

2. A business records consent you gave it directly

A business that uses RaveRep can tick the same consent flag on a customer record it manages, to record consent that customer gave the business directly. That checkbox is also unticked by default, and RaveRep shows this attestation on screen, which the business must accept before it can be ticked:

Businesses using RaveRep also agree to our Terms of Service, which require them to obtain and retain valid prior express consent before enabling messaging for any contact. No message is sent to a contact whose consent flag is unticked, on any of our message types.

What we send

Messages are transactional and tied to a specific appointment you booked:

  • Appointment reminders before your appointment
  • Confirmation when a spot opens and you come off a waitlist
  • A single follow-up request for feedback after your appointment

Booking confirmations and reschedule or cancellation notices are sent by email, not text.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program, and we never send messages to a number that has not opted in.

Sample messages

“Bloom Studio: your appointment is confirmed for Tue, Jul 28 at 2:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

“Bloom Studio: reminder, your appointment is tomorrow, Jul 28 at 2:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop immediately. You will get a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@raverep.com. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your appointment, and you will still receive email confirmations.

Your privacy

Mobile information and SMS consent are never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Mobile information may be shared only with the subcontractors that operate the messaging service on our behalf.
